- Staff Transport: Daily From Uyo and From Port Harcourt
Commercial management is “the identification and development of business opportunities and the profitable management of projects and contracts, from inception to completion. At a transactional level, commercial management is applied through the oversight of business relationships to ensure their compliance with business goals or policies and to understand or manage the financial and risk implications of any variations

REPORTING TO | Commercial Manager |
TASK AND RESPONSIBLITIES | Perform the billing processes in a timely and effective manner in keeping with the Company’s business objectives. |
Review the Estimating File and compile copies of all quotations, correspondence and other useful information. | |
Prepare a copy of the Yard’s standard Conditions of Contract and hand it to the Owner’s representative upon his arrival for ship repair contract. | |
Compile Work Completion Forms (WCF) received from the Yard’s Foremen / Engineers and Supervisors for work done and check actual work done against the Specifications. | |
Quote for additional jobs requested by the Owner’s Representative, including requests made through the Project Manager. | |
Where partial or full payment is required prior to re-delivery, provide budgetary costs to the Owner’s Representative for him to arrange payments in accordance with agreed payment terms. | |
Prepare the statement of work done and get it checked by the Project Manager and signed by the Owner’s Representative. | |
Prepare the bills, statements of repair or conversion work done, and, when instructed by the Commercial Manager, negotiate the bills with Owners | |
Ensure that all standard operating procedures comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements. | |
REQUIREMENT - EXPERIENCE | Minimum 3 years of relevant Commercial experience in Oil & Gas / Marine / Offshore industry. |
Able to establish quality standards by understanding Class requirements, Customer requirements and internal Shipyard workmanship standards. | |
Able to ensure ISO 9000 quality management system is maintained throughout company including internal audit program | |
REQUIREMENT – EDUCATION AND KEY CERTIFICATES | Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering or Accounting or any other relevant disciplines |
